San Da-JiuJitsu-Do is Dr. Robert Pritchett’s pathway to freedom in the martial arts by merging concepts from various martial arts systems, where he has achieved a level of black belt or equivalent; extracting only what is applicable from each system.
As one of the only martial arts specifically tailored for today’s society, Dr. Pritchett has combined Karate, Shaolin Kung Fu, Siamese Kung Fu, Vee jitsu-Jiujitsu, Judo, Sambo, wrestling, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, boxing and military self-defense tactics to create San Da-JiuJitsu. It is so gentle that it can be taught to children, yet formalized, taking into consideration the needs of law enforcement. It is structured purposely for competition but was made specifically for self defense.
San Da-JiuJitsu bridges the gap between systems by combining concepts that make it more efficient and effective for today’s world. These concepts transfer over to various aspects of life.
San Da-JiuJitsu rests comfortably on the premise of self defense and is applicable for men, women, children, teenagers, as well as seniors. As a result of Dr. Pritchett’s history with law enforcement, he has intertwined concepts that show degrees of restraint dependent on the threat level faced by enforcement officials.
Self defense in San Da-JiuJitsu understands that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. The most effective way to defend oneself is to be direct, yet yielding when necessary. Using this concept San Da-JiuJitsu applies various principles and methods in a unique formula to make it exceptional in concept and extraordinary in effectiveness.
San Da-JiuJitsu-Do is founded on Dr. Pritchett’s 50 year history of studying various martial arts and combining them through a comprehensive look at each system he has trained and competed in; including Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, boxing, knife and stick fighting along with various martial arts systems. Dr. Pritchett realized that martial artists should bridge the gap between linear and vertical movement as well as grappling and striking of various forms.
For competition San Da-JiuJitsu can be used in many different arenas because of the tree of martial arts that it comes from. There are many branches to this tree all with one method in mind; to be successful and defend. While simplistic in nature San Da-JiuJitsu is highly effective. Adapted after the critical study of the martial arts, Dr. Pritchett has broken down the science of self defense to an academic level and presents it in its most practical form.
Founded in New Castle, Delaware in 2013 San Da-JiuJitsu was not publicly introduced until 2016 in Quincy, Massachusetts.
